Corben's Fresh 48 ~Lubbock, Texas Lifestyle Photographer~

I was so excited that Brooke asked me to do a fresh 48 session of her growing family. I don't get to do them very often because I've got kids of my own at home, but this one really touched my heart.

Brooke found out while pregnant that Corben would most likely have downs syndrome. I know they have a lot of uphill battles ahead of them, but it just makes my heart smile that they chose to celebrate his birth all the more.

Big brother, Crew, could not get enough of his little brother. Didn't want to give him back up.  And those matching tongues - how sweet is that!

Congratulations, Phillips!! You have a beautiful family!

One of the perks of not blogging for so long is you get to go back and look at old sessions. I had forgotten how much I LOVE this little session of Miss Haidyn. It made me happy to go back and see them again.

The night before her session, I had shot my very last wedding. The owner of the venue let me take home some flowers and y'all I could not LOVE this photo more!

And those little broken fingernails could not be sweeter.

I mentioned this idea of making a cotton wreath to Hadlee's mom hoping she had access to some cotton. Turns out, her husband's a cotton farmer and she LOVED the idea. I was beyond excited!! AND I'm THRILLED at how it turned out. I hope they do some cotton photos for Hadlee's first birthday, too.

Even though I'm not huge on props, this Santa hat photos is seriously one of my favorites ever.

During the session, I had this wild idea of making a hairpiece out of one of the cotton buds. So a went and grabbed my glue gun and threw it together real fast. I let mom keep it, but they left me a bunch of cotton so I can make another one. Now I just need a little girl in the studio!
