Jordan Kids Christmas ~Lubbock, Texas Children's Photographer~

Welcome to our Christmas Pajama Party with the Jordan kids!!

No Christmas party's complete without some cookies and milk.

This photo took a little Christmas magic to come together (when I say magic, I mean photoshop). Everyone smiled for me, just not at the same time. But I was determined to get them all smiling in a photo, so Photoshop and my mad skills to the rescue.

Merry Christmas, Jordans!!

Witte Family ~West Texas Family Photographer~

The Wittes!! I absolutely LOVE this family. Kyle and Kelan remind me SO much of my boys. They are always ready to party - just the way my boys are. So fun!

Since the time our family had moved to Lubbock, the Witte family moved from San Angelo, but in opposite direction. We both travelled across Texas to meet in San Angelo for their mini session. I think we both could have used a paddle boat to get there with all that rain across Texas that weekend. We were going to meet at the Fort under the porches, but I noticed this building across the street with a covering so we drove over there instead. I LOVE the way it turned out! Cold and rainy, but we got it done.

They just crack me up!

Love and miss you guys!!

Juliette ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photography~

Juliette's mom warned me that she was her most alert baby. I should have believed her. This is her 6th! But I got her swaddled up and I absolutely adore the awake photos.

I was getting a macro shot of her hand, but check out those lips. Perfect timing, Juliette.

More sweet lip puckers!

Such an adorable little girl!! Congratulations, Jenifer!!

Fauley Family ~West Texas Family Photographer~

The fall months are always busy busy, but I decided to take a little break from editing and show y'all this sweet family's mini session. I had planned a trip from Lubbock to San Angelo for a few mini sessions and of course, the weekend I planned it, there were crazy high rain predictions. It was drizzly and cold this evening, but the Fauleys toughed it out.

The Fauleys had to weather a few storms, too to get to San Angelo. They drove in from San Saba for this session!

Don't they look cute in all their purple?

Hadley ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photographer~

It had been a month or so since I had had a newborn session and I was TOTALLY getting the itch. I had a few new bonnets, wraps, and had taken a class so I was dying to implement some new stuff.  Hadley did SOOOO good. I could have played with her all day!

The day before her session, I pulled out my craft supplies and made this little pull back. I LOVE it and Hadley was the perfect model.

This class I took was all about minimalism in newborn photography. Just naked baby on white. I'm not sure if I'm ready to break away from my colored props, but OHHH how I loved how these turned out!

Weston ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photographer~

Meet Weston. . .

Never had I been so grateful that we chose the mustard colored pants. ;) Haha!

Ryan LOVES his baby brother. He held him for a long time and didn't want to quit when I told him he was finished. What a sweet big brother!

Can you believe that hair? Mom said it naturally combs over like that. No brushing necessary.

And those eyelashes . . . Mr. Snuffleupagus has got NOTHING on Weston. Adorable!!

Valerie ~Lubbock, Texas Senior Photographer~

We decided to do Valerie's senior session at Tech to celebrate her upcoming graduation. What we didn't know was there was a parade at Tech that night. So we hope over a few blocks away from the college crowds to a little spot downtown Lubbock.

It was a pretty cloudy that night, but the sun peeked out for just a few minutes to cast this gorgeous light on her red hair.

I promise I don't have any rules about being a gorgeous tall red head in order for me to do a senior session. But maybe I should!! ;)

Her cute little puppy, Woodrow came along for a few shots, too.

Cole ~Lubbock, Texas Baby Photography~

Cole's story is one that just blesses my heart. It's an adoption story. It's one where a woman who knew they could give the baby growing in them a better life by making a difficult decision, did just that. It's one where a couple who wanted a baby so deeply, but physically could not have one got their dream come true. Cole. It means "people's victory". Isn't that just perfect?

We weren't able to schedule Cole's session until he was 4 weeks old. I normally like to do newborn sessions at 5-11 days old, so I, honestly, did not have very high expectations. He was awake for about an hour, but between white noise, swaddling, feeding, paci, rocking, you name it, it finally worked!

Got a little sleepy smile on this one!

Thanks for the cuddles, Cole!!
