Jordan Girls ~Lubbock, Texas Child Photographer~

The Jordan sisters all have their birthdays within a few weeks of each other, so what's a better way to celebrate than with birthday photos?

Makenzie just turned 7 years old. I think she had fun being a little model.

Bethanie's little 3 year old self has the funniest expressions. I think she might be the family comedian.

And sweet Rosalie is having her first birthday!

Eric + Jessica ~Lubbock, Texas Engagement Photographer~

Introducing Jessica and Eric, soon to be a bride and groom!

Neither Jessica or I could make a decision on where to their their session. We even went out scouting and found a couple places. When we drive back to find them, we happened upon this little abandoned house. By the way, we never could find our original spot. Lol!

And we found this little charming wall.

It was hard to get them to STOP smiling. Such a cute couple!

Hrybs ~Family Photographer~

My family and I finally made a trip to Phoenix, AZ to see my best friend and her family a few weeks ago. Amanda has been my number one fan from the beginning and believed in me before I believed in myself.  While we were there, we made sure to get her some family photos.

Kora is about a year younger than my oldest, but a few inches taller. I knew her since she was in her momma's belly.

Alyse is a little quiet, but once you get her talking, she has lots to say.

Oh Bella! She's such a hoot!

And then there's my pal, A.J.. He's just a few months younger than my youngest. They became fast friends.

Adam was so patient and helped us find this amazing location!!

We had such an awesome time in Phoenix, but going through these photos is making me miss them so much!! Thank you for such a great time, Hrybs!!

Kinley ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photography~

For this newborn session, I drove out to Sudan and used my good friend Laryn's studio. To be honest, I was a little skeptical of the idea. It's always a little nerve racking to shoot somewhere you are not familiar with. BUT OH was I in for a TREAT!! I LOVE her studio!! In fact, I think I might move in! Just look at these 3 precious kiddos!

I don't think I've ever had 2 kids this age that were so good. They did EXACTLY what I asked them to. We were finished with them in 3 minutes. Mom's doing something right.

And look at their lastest addition, Miss Kinley. I'm dying over that blonde hair.

Keenan & Jancee ~Lubbock, Texas Maternity Photographer~

Jancee and Keenan are expecting twins!!

Jancee has been on bed rest for her little boys, Jack and Sam, for a while now, so she suggested we do her maternity session at her home. I wasn't too sure how I'd go about doing it, but I absolutely LOVE the way these turned out. I can't wait to do another at home maternity session. Any takers?

Don't they have the most adorable house?

Such a cute couple! I have a feeling they are going to have some beautiful babies!

Can't wait to meet you, Jack and Sam!!

Graham ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photography~

Meet Mr. Graham Riley!!

Love me some baby feet!!

I bought this black fabric MONTHS ago with the intent to try this pose. I always save it for last and I never get it. With Graham, I was determined to try it. I love the was it turned out, all safe in daddy's hands.

I think someone KNOWS he's got his momma wrapped around his finger. Look at that smile!

Audrina ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photography~

Meet Little Miss Audrina!!

I was a little skeptical of how well her session would go because was a few days past that 5-11 day sweet spot, but she did so good!!!

I did put her in my ninja swaddle (having 4 babies of my own, I've got that one down). That helped put her to sleep.

Congratulations, Amber!! She's beautiful!!

Tiffany Maternity ~Lubbock, Texas Maternity Photography~

Tiffany just had her little baby a few days ago, but I haven't posted her maternity photos! So here they are, James and Tiffany anticipating little Lillian's arrival.

Lillian's coming this week for her newborn session. She's a St. Patrick's Day baby so I'm trying to scheme up some St Patrick's Day ideas. (I'm secretly hoping she has mom's red hair.)

Congratulations, James and Tiffany!! I can't wait to meet your new little one!

Roberts Twins ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photography~

I had the best time playing with these two boys. Meet Mason and Chance, the Roberts twins.

Chance....

and Mason

The boys have identical twin cousins that came to do a few photos with them. Aren't they are adorable?

The girls stuck around for a good bit of the session. I gave them a few jobs, and they were really quite helpful with the boys.

One of the girls asked their uncle, "How can you tell the babies apart?" He told them, "just like we can tell you two apart." Her response, "You mean one has bangs and one doesn't?"

Morris Family ~Lubbock, Texas Family Photographer~

My sister and her family!!!

As a Texas gal, I was quite shocked when the snow from our blizzard stayed on the ground so long. We had a few warmer days, but STILL that snow would not melt completely.  This was a few weeks after the snowpocalyse!

A family session for the Morris was a MUST, snow or not. Allister left a few days after their session to start his new job in NorTh CaROLinA. What? Yep, my sister's family is leaving the Hub city for the scenery in the east. Can't say I blame them.

Isaac is just a few weeks younger than my oldest. He's got the cool man genes and rarely is seen without a hat. My boys LOVE having him over.

Zion has never known a stranger. I'm pretty sure she'll make friends quickly after their move. Heck, we can't go to the grocery store without her making a friend.

It wasn't much after this session that Elijah got his braces off. I might need to take him out for a little mini session to show off his new pearly whites.

Anybody got a clue what kind of tree sheds tennis balls? I'm going to try to talk Malachi into coming back to Tech when he finishes school. We've got plenty of room, kid!

Believe it or not, it's sometimes harder to get teens to smile for photos. And I'm not naming any names, but it's so nice when someone lets out a huge fart and makes everyone giggle.

Wish you guys all the best on your new adventure. We're going to miss you like CRAZY!!!

David ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photographer~

Oh, David!! Isn't that smile just priceless?

I normally photograph newborns at my home studio by my big window, using the natural light, but for David, we went to a different studio here in Lubbock, and I used studio lighting for the first time. I have to admit, it was fun to try something new.

His eyelashes are just gorgeous!!

Bayzi {Lubbock, Texas First Birthday Photographer}

Bayzi turns one!!! I was so thrilled when Jaymie decided to drive up the Lubbock so we could do some one year photos of little Miss Bayzi. It was pretty cold here in mid January, so we opted to try them inside. We talked about doing banners and this and that, but we decided to keep it simple and use lots of white. Oh, and am I in LOVE with all this white!

Jaymie brought this dress that had been in their family for over 100 years. It's SOOO perfect!! And my sister had made this little lace bonnet. Aren't they adorable on her??

I love watching "my newborns" grow. Here's some photos from her FIRST photo session.

I decided to try to make a bonnet the night before they came. It was really fun designing one. I kind of felt like I was in the 19th century. Well, if they had had hot glue guns in the 19th century anyway.

The doll bed was one that used to be my aunt's. And the quilt was made by my grandmother. Lots of vintage in this photo.

Bayzi took this modeling gig pretty seriously. Then we brought out the cake. She did NOT like having her hands dirty and she did NOT like the cake. I can not for the life of me figure out why. I ate quite a bit after she left. YUM!!

Being wet isn't fun either, apparently.

And, of course, we can't forget big sisters and big brother. Such a fun afternoon!

Klaire {Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photographer}

Little baby Klaire: Isn't she adorable?!?!

And all that dark HAIR!! Isn't it awesome?!?!

With three older siblings, Klaire has plenty of little people in her house to take care of her. They were arguing over who got to hold her.

10 perfect little toes!

I love it when I catch a little half smile in a photo.

Welcome to the world, sweet baby girl!

Malachi {Lubbock, Texas Senior Photographer}

I found someone willing to do photos with me in the snow! Meet my handsome nephew, Malachi, a 2016 senior!

We did Malachi's senior photos about 5 days after the notorious Lubbock Blizzard that blew in a couple days after Christmas. There was so much snow that for those of us without 4 wheel drive, we were pretty much trapped at home. Lucky for me, Malachi came to pick me up.

When I suggested we do a snow session, I did NOT tell him to dress in short sleeves. I believe my exact words were, "a beanie and a nice jacket." He brought neither. But being the awesome aunt that I am, I did let him use my jacket when we were walking around.

For those of my generation, bleach washed jeans are now back in style, but if you try to create them yourself, you might need duct tape.

Watch out, ladies!

Wolcott Twins ~Lubbock, Texas Newborn Photographer~

My first set of twins!! I can't tell you how excited I was to photograph these two darlings. We originally had their session scheduled a couple days after Christmas, but then the Historic Lubbock Snowpocalypse happened. Between all the snow (we literally could not leave the house) and a cough I was struggling to get over, I was starting to wonder if this newborn session was going to happen. They were born 10 weeks early, but I still wanted to get them in as soon as possible. But finally, New Years Day, my first session of the new year, at 7 weeks old, we were able to photograph these precious babies.

Harrison slept like a dream and has the most gorgeous eyes!

And then there's Hazel. Aren't those eyelashes beautiful?

I absolutely feel in love with the family! I'm hoping they come back for their one year session. I'd love to see how these two grow over the next year.
